Daufuskie 8th Annual Autumn Fest
Freeport Marina, Daufuskie Island, SC

A Family-Friendly Event.Come along, everyone, the Daufuskie Autumn Fest will be hosted at the Freeport Marina on Daufuskie Island and is being sponsored by The Binyah Foundation, Steward for Daufuskie and the Lowcountry. An array of entertainment includes The Chilly Willy Band and Bill Dupont, the Blues Man. Family fun includes story telling, island tours, clown-balloon art, hair braiding, and oyster shell arty crafts. The oyster roast {$5 minimum donation & rsvp appreciated} along with food vendors and a marshmallow roast centered around the festival bonfire will be a foodie experience. Vendors are welcome. 3rd Annual Farmer’s Table Benefit Dinner
The Farm at Habersham, 201 Cherokee Farm Road
Saturday, November 3rd,
begins at 5:30pm with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres
Eight of Beaufort’s chefs, local farmers, food artisans and friends of the Lowcountry Food Bank will join together for the 3rd annual Farmer’s Table benefit dinner, hosted by Habersham Marketplace. Guests will be treated to a supper made with fresh,locally sourced food, craft cocktails, beer and wine, and live bluegrass music for a great local cause. A live bluegrass duo will play as guests sip on bourbon and enjoy small bites. Guests will also have a chance to take a tour of the farm, and meet the chefs! A hayride pulled by a vintage tractor will transport guests to Habersham Marketplace, where they will enjoy a coursed, collaborative supper under the stars and dance the night away to the sweet sounds of Lowcountry Boil featuring Vic Varner. Proceeds from The Farmer’s Table benefit the Lowcountry Food Bank’s Growing Food Locally program. Through this program, the Lowcountry Food Bank purchases fresh produce from small enterprise farms in Beaufort, Hampton, and Jasper counties and distributes it to our neighbors experiencing hunger. Not only are community members provided with healthy produce, but money is spent within the local food economy. Tickets are $100 each and sponsorships are available. This year’s Parade Grand Marshal is Lieutenant Colonel William R. “Skeet” Von Harten, USMC, (Ret.), and former Chairman of Beaufort County Council.  The Parade will be followed by a Veterans Day Ceremony in the Beaufort National Cemetery at 11am.
