A few of the Beaufort local golf courses to visit would be the South Carolina National Golf Club, a beautiful and scenic 18 hole golf course surrounded by live oaks draped with Spanish moss, offering a challenge to golfers of all skill levels with its elevated greens and several holes that play along the marsh; Lady's Island Country Club features all the hallmarks of South Carolina golf; Sanctuary Golf Club features a stunning 18 hole course that uses strategic bunker placement and defined fairways to create beauty and challenge on many of its holes; and, Sucession Golf Club, an old-fashioned golf club in the traditional sense of the word, features an 18-hole course that challenges golfers with 14 of its holes located along the lowcountry marshes surrounding the course. Nearby Bluffton and Hilton Head Island also offer a number of excellent courses to visit.
